Organized by the Global Audiovisual Training Center-GATC in collaboration with the Association of Movie Producers (AMP) Nigeria, the GATC-AMP Professional Development Program for Nigeria was a series of 5 online master classes in English conducted by renowned industry professionals on the following topics: Sales Agents and International Representation, Special Effects, Script Supervisor, Assistant Director, and Production Designer.
With over 100 participants from all over Nigeria, it took place between April 3 and April 17, 2024, and it was open to Nigerian audiovisual industry professionals and recent film school graduates. The main objective of the program was to meet the needs for skilled crew to help ensure that Nigeria is prepared to receive international productions of film, series, and other audiovisual content.
“This was a life-changing opportunity for me to be a part of this program, I learned a lot in all the five master classes I attended and I recommend this for filmmakers to always tap into opportunities when they come, I want to thank all the professors that carried out this classes with us, most especially the Global Audiovisual Training Center for bringing this to Nigeria Nollywood industry, it will help us in this time where the game of filmmaking is changing every day”, said Amb. Dr Queen Blessing Ebigieson, AMP National President.
