SPI Signs New Agreement to Address Global Demand for Training Production Crews and Below-the-Line Professionals

Olsberg•SPI (SPI) is excited to announce a new agreement with the Global Audiovisual Training Center (GATC).

To address the skills shortages that the audiovisual sector is contending with on a global basis, SPI has partnered with the GATC, which offers high-quality bespoke training courses for audiovisual industry professionals, including film commissions. GATC’s current programme includes:

  • Professional Development Program for BTL Technicians – conducted online in English, this includes masterclasses of two to three hours or in-depth training of 16 hours
  • The Global Film & TV Program for Above-the-Line Professionals – an annual five-day experience in Los Angeles for up to 25 professionals from around the world, including meetings, masterclasses and conferences
  • English for Audiovisual Industry Professionals – a five-month course training audiovisual professionals in speaking and comprehension skills required to work on international productions and to advance their careers.

Private Lessons Package Terms & Conditions

  • Private English Lesson Package for Audiovisual Professionals is a live online service.
  • The class schedule and study plan are customized during the interview.
  • Classes are live, online, and interactive sessions of 60 minutes.
  • Classes will be recorded and available for up to two months after the package ends.
  • Our 60-minute private lessons will be scheduled based on student availability.
  • LATC and the Student have the right to change the schedule 48 hours before each class.
  • If a student is absent for reasons not related to force majeure, classes will not be rescheduled, and no refunds will be issued.

  • Rescheduling due to illness is allowed free of charge with a medical certificate, limited to two times per package.

  • The calendar can be adjusted at the student’s request or if the teacher is unavailable.

  • If the teacher cannot accommodate a schedule change or is absent due to force majeure, another teacher will replace them for the remaining classes.

  • Force majeure reasons include natural disasters, death, serious illness, or any condition that prevents participation in the class.

Global Program Terms & Conditions

  • I confirm that the information provided in this form is true, complete, and accurate.
  • I declare I retain the copyright and other relevant rights to the project material, am duly authorized to present it in the GLOBAL FILM & TV PROGRAM, and have full rights to present it to potential partners.
  • I agree to hold LATC, its officers, and its staff harmless and exempt from any liability, claims, or losses related to the project, concept, or complete title I present during the LATC Program.
  • I agree to participate in ALL program activities. If I fail to attend, the corresponding fee paid will be forfeited.
  • I understand and agree that LATC may utilize my images and professional information to promote LATC’s current and future program activities.
  • I understand that the LATC Program will be conducted in English in person in Los Angeles and does NOT include air tickets or travel costs.
  • I understand that, due to their availability, LATC staff may make eventual alterations in the program schedule and speakers without prior notice.

English Course Terms & Conditions

  • English for Audiovisual Professionals is a live online course.
  • Each module consists of 35 hours over 11 weeks.
  • Classes are live, online, and interactive sessions of 90 minutes, held twice a week.
  • To receive a certificate, I must attend at least 50% of the classes and pass the exams.
  • Classes will be recorded and available for up to one month after the course ends.
  • LATC may use my image and professional information for promotional purposes.
  • LATC reserves the right to change the schedule without prior notice.
  • There is a 10-day money-back guarantee from the start of classes; no refunds will be issued after this period.
