Description: Start learning English with specific situations found on an international audiovisual set. From numbers to clapperboards, from the alphabet to orders of the day, practice your first sentences in this Technical English course for beginners. By the end of the course, you will have learned how to introduce yourself, to talk about your specific roles and activities, as well as to ask and offer relevant information in your day-to-day work.

Bianca Martins

Bianca Martins is a filmmaker and sound designer. Graduated in Audiovisual at SENAC – SP, and specialized in sound at EICTV, Cuba.

She has extensive experience working as a Sound Technician and Editor in nationally and internationally award-winning films and series. She participated in two editions of the Berlinale Talents (film industry training and networking event) as a Sound Designer: in 2018, at the Guadalajara International Film Festival, Mexico, and in 2020 at the Berlin International Film Festival, Germany. In addition to teaching sound workshops at film schools and festivals throughout Brazil, she also holds an international certification as a language teacher – Cambridge Celta Certificate – and teaches private classes in English and Spanish.

Online Short courses in technical English as applied to topics and functions on set and in the audiovisual industry in general, designed for busy professionals who have little time and well-defined goals.

The English course includes live online (synchronous) classes, organized in a live virtual classroom, where students and teachers meet. All participants are expected to be online and connected to the internet during classes. Classes are recorded and can be reviewed again if necessary.

Each course is appropriate for a reccomended English level. For beginners, we offer Survival English for Audiovisual Professionals, to start learning English with specific situations found on an international audiovisual set.

You will need a computer and an internet connection in order to attend class.
