Is your English Limiting your Career in the Industry?

Audiovisual professionals with poor English skills are at a disadvantage when it comes to working with international crews.

A lack of familiarity with specific terminology can hinder directors who need to communicate with a multinational crew, screenwriters who struggle to present ideas to international producers at film festivals and markets, and crew members who need to communicate quickly on set.

And all are limited in their ability to be at the forefront of knowledge because most of the materials, courses and videos available are in English.

The new GATC/LATC English for Audiovisual Industry Professionals provides the solution! This is the ideal course, to equip you with the necessary English skills for the challenges of the international market.

Testimonials

These months of class have been a very positive experience in my life. The truth is that I really liked the content taught in this English course, so much so that I would like to continue taking classes at an advanced level. The class material taught was very well organized and my teacher was wonderful, she accompanied us all the way with a lot of patience, good communication and an encouragement that was contagious to continue learning.

This English course has motivated me to continue improving my fluency in the language. I feel that I increased my confidence in myself and reinforced a lot of knowledge that I already knew from my years of experience within the local and international film industry.

I really loved the Master Classes, it was very important to guide me for my next plans and projects. I would like so much to continue and I would be very happy if there was the possibility of another scholarship.

Thank you MPA and Spcine for the scholarship, and LATC for all the support and learning.

My experience with the course was great. I see that my English has improved a lot. Today I already feel able to follow a conversation and express my opinions on the topics that are addressed. Of course I still have a lot to improve, especially in conversation. The Masterclasses are excellent and I was very happy to be able to follow them.

My communication skills improved a lot. I feel more confident and able to speak to other people. I also feel qualified to work with a foreign crew in Brazil. I understood most of the content and there are some expressions and lingo that I’d improve practicing. I’m very satisfied with my development.

I think, the fact that I’ve been studying and making all the homework prepared me to keep the pace and the language alive in my head. I’m very thankful to you all, I am honoured to have met such an amazing institution and professionals. The masterclasses were great and all students were deep into these talks. I am very interested in learning from the experts and also grateful to have the opportunity to know them.

Thanks a lot LATC, MPA and Spcine!

The way this course is designed is impressive. I would never have been able to learn so much if it hadn’t been here. Not everyone understands what it means to work in cinematography, but you do, and thanks to that, I’m here, finishing this course with so much knowledge.

I loved it and I would recommend it a thousand times. Learning a new language has never been so much fun or entertaining.
